18th Century Tapestry Stays Corset - Renaissance Fair Cotton Dress - Truffle Tiered Skirt

This is an 18th century version of our regular Josephine corset. 
Closure in back with grommets and lacing and an added zipper on the side for ease of wear.  You will find the same exciting beauty of our regular Josephine with a rounded neckline and closed front for that perfect 18th century look.  The professional quality remains unchanged.  

The Josephine costume includes:
The Skirt:
Beige tone tiered 38" long cotton voile skirt with lots of fabric for a full look. Drawstring Waist.
Drawstring skirts have many added advantages:
1. They will fit a large range of waists to your exact measurement.
2. Will not add bulk at the waist.
3. easy to adjust.

HOW TO WEAR:
1. It is easier to gather the waistline evenly before wearing and adjust as necessary once on.
2.Pull both drawstrings for easier adjustment. Gather both sides as you go.
3. As you pull the drawstrings, move the gathers to the center back.
4. Leave a gap large enough to fit over your shoulders.
5 Once on, adjust gathers so they are evenly distributed along waistline.
6. Tighten the drawstrings at the front to fit your exact waist measurement.

THE CHEMISE GOWN
Smocked 55" from shoulder to hem full length cotton chemise with long sleeves.
Smocked waist will expand to a comfortable 38" waist.

THE CORSET:
The steel spiral boned full corset gives an amazing waistline shape without sacrificing comfort since spiral bones are flexible yet extremely durable.   
Made with Fall tones Flower Tapestry and a heavy cotton, it is fully lined in cotton as well.
A ribbon lacing completes this lovely feminine piece. 
Rigid boning where necessary for support and that look that only a professional corset can give.
Beige colored satin ribbon with grommets in the back offer great flexibility in sizing with the added modesty panel.
Side zipper for wearing convenience.
This is not one of those flimsy dime-a-dozen generic corsets made nowadays by the fast fashion industry with cheap materials and craftsmanship that cheapens your look.
This is a professional corset made to last for many years if well taken care of, as traditional clothing used to be when we lived in less wasteful times.  The elegant and refined look you deserve.

The "modesty panel" in the back allows for a 4" addition to its full length comfortably.
For example, the size 0-2 will easily expand from 22" to 26" in its full length. The 4-6 will expand from 26 to 30" in its full length, and so on...
If you need extra room at the bust, you can widen just that area. Small waist? just cinch it at the waist. This applies to any part of the length of the corset.
This allows for the corset to fit you "like a glove".

Will fit a waist of 38-40"

Will fit a waist of 42-44"

The Corset:  Cotton Tapestry fabric combined with a heavy cotton to form the exterior.   The lining is also 100% cotton.  Laced with satin ribbon.

FABRIC CARE INSTRUCTIONS: 
The Chemise and Skirt Dress:  Machine wash in warm water in the gentle cycle to prolong its life. They can both be machine dried and if removed when just finished drying, there will be a minimal amount of wrinkles.

The Corset:  Dry cleaning.
